“The policy scientist spent the summer on a listening tour across Metchosin after friends in and around SD62 convinced her to run for trustee. Conversations about the need for collaboration eventually led to a second idea: bringing that same approach to Metchosin.

She entered the municipal race on the final day of nominations.

“The biggest theme, the biggest tangible is a memorandum of understanding with SD62,” McMillan said, adding she also wants to strengthen Metchosin’s relationships with the CRD and neighbouring communities.“
